David F. Swenson was born in Sweden October 29, 1876 and moved to America in 1882. He taught at the University of Minnesota and became a full professor of philosophy in 1917. His goal was to make the writings of Soren Kierkegaard known to the English reading public. He first wrote in philosophical journals and then put his works together in Something about Kierkegaard, 1941 (Augsburg Publishing House). This articles was published in 1921 in a journal called Scandinavian Studies and Notes, Volume VI, No. 7
